Louis Berk Photography - Images - Books - Tours - Spring 2019 Newsletter

The big news this month is the arrival of my latest book 'Whitechapel Doors' - which relates the history of the area through portraits of the doors of historic and interesting buildings. The book is narrated by award-winning London blue-badge guide Rachel Kolsky. Pre-orders are now being accepted for the initial limited edition run of signed copies direct from Mango Books. More information here.

Since my last newsletter I've updated my galleries with a number of new sections. I returned to Haworth in Yorkshire this winter and photographed some beautiful snowy landscapes on top of the moors. I have also completed an architectural perspective of the changes to Hawley Wharf near Camden Lock as the development of new Camden Village site has taken place. In addition I have added more content to my Whitechapel galleries. Please take a look and I'll be delighted to hear any feedback or comments that you have.

My photographic tours of Whitechapel leave from Liverpool Street and end up in the heart of Whitechapel. We explore Spitalfields, Whitechapel High Street and the area around the historic Royal London Hospital estate. Each tour lasts between 2-3 hours (I don't clock watch!) and at the end I can recommend places to eat and visit after lunch. On some days I can even arrange a visit to one of the most beautiful places in Whitechapel, the hidden oasis of the Jewish cemetery in Brady Street (by prior arrangement with the owners).

These tours are offered to groups, camera clubs and schools and can be arranged on days and times to suit your specific needs. I cap the price of the tours so the more people who you can get to come with you the cheaper per person. Please contact me for more information and I'll be happy to discuss your requirements.

You can find out about all my currently available books via my Amazon author page. With the publication of Whitechapel Doors I now have four books in print. You can also still find my eBooks available at Blurb, including my first book 'Walk to Work, from the City to Whitechapel'.
