Walk to Work takes the reader on three early morning walks, each originating in the City of London and finishing in the heart of the historic Whitechapel district of London's East End. Accompanied by observations and annecdotal social history it is a journey through a rich historical area of London, rarely seen outside the confines of its close knit community. Walk to Work is the visual record of an area of London which is continually evolving and now under the threat of the march eastward of the financial district and inevitable gentrification. The standard edition is a 10x8 inch softcover book containing 120 pages of full colour photographs. For connoisseurs of fine art photography a Limited Edition of 250 13x11 inch large landscape books, individually produced and hand signed/numbered by the author are also available (please allow 21 days for delivery). "Louis' eye for the interesting and different, as well as the vibrant saturated colours he uses in his photography, make this an enjoyable and different take on the ordinary and not so ordinary environment of this part of the city" Nick De Marco, (Photographer)
"The book documents the amazing change of scenery in little over a mile, between the glass office towers around Liverpool Street, and the small market stalls serving the local communities around Whitechapel station." Andrew Firth, (Author/Photographer)
"Wonderful book, I keep revisiting the pages and enjoying images again. Highly Recommended" Bo Lorentzen, (Photographer)
